The Conference on Diversity in Engineering (CDE) is an annual national conference organized by the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES). It brings together engineering students from across Canada to discuss, learn, and take action on issues related to equity, diversity, and inclusion in engineering.
When and where is CDE 2026?
CDE 2026 will take place from November 1-3, 2026 at the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Who can attend CDE 2026?
CDE is open to all engineering students from CFES member schools across Canada. We welcome delegates from all backgrounds, disciplines, and years of study.
Registration
How do I register for CDE 2026?
You can register through the Delegate Portal on our website. Click the 'Delegate Portal' button in the navigation menu to access registration. You'll need to sign in with your Google account to complete the registration process.
What is included in my registration?
Your registration includes full conference access, all meals during the conference (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), a conference swag bag, access to all networking events, and a certificate of attendance.
Is there an early bird discount?
Yes! Early bird pricing is available until August 31, 2026 at $150 CAD. After this date, regular registration is $200 CAD.
Travel & Accommodation
How do I get to Victoria?
Victoria is located on Vancouver Island. You can fly directly to Victoria International Airport (YYJ) from major Canadian cities, or take BC Ferries from Tsawwassen (near Vancouver) to Swartz Bay. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour 35 minutes.
Are there travel subsidies available?
Yes, CFES offers travel subsidies to help delegates attend national conferences. Applications will open in Summer 2026. Priority is given to first-time attendees and is based on distance traveled.
What accommodation options are available?
We have negotiated special rates with partner hotels near the University of Victoria. Information about hotel blocks will be available on the Delegates page once registration opens.

What should I bring to the conference?
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing for the sessions and events, a reusable water bottle, any medications you need, and a positive attitude! Business casual attire is suggested for formal events.
